Celebrating All Things Vegan In Bellingham!

Bellingham Veg Fest is a free to attend, all-vegan, all-ages, family-friendly festival created to show how easy and fun it is to live a vegan lifestyle. This event welcomes anyone and everyone— from the veg-curious to the experienced vegans.

Veg Fest stands for compassion for all humans and non-humans, commitment to the health and sustainability of our planet, and support for our local vegan and vegan-friendly small business and nonprofits.

The Fest will feature food, art, crafts, and more. Everything sold, distributed, and displayed at this event will be 100% vegan.

You can be a part of it!

If you’re a small business that would like to participate, good news! Our application is now live! Please email us at our new vendor-only email (vendors@bellinghamvegfest.org) with any questions.

If you’re not a small business or non-profit and want to participate, good news: it’s easy for you too! The Fest is 100% free to attend, complete with free onsite parking! Just remember your reusable containers, bottles, bags, cutlery, etc if you have it as Bellingham Veg Fest is a “Toward Zero Waste” event, and please bring a non-perishable plant-based food item too!

Event FAQs

I am not vegan. Should I attend?

Yes! Everyone is welcome at Bellingham Veg Fest, whether you are vegan, vegetarian, veg-curious, or anything else. We want you to join us!

Is this a free event?

Yes it is, and we are encouraging folks to bring non-perishable plant based food items for Birchwood Food Desert Fighters.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is ample, free parking. Please use the Burns St parking lot entrance next to WECU Business.

Can I bring my dog?

While we love animals, only service dogs are allowed at Bellingham Veg Fest. Pets, emotional support animals (ESAs), therapy dogs, and service dogs in training are not permitted to attend.

Should I bring anything?

This is a Toward Zero Waste event. Please bring your reusable dining items such as a water bottle, utensils, napkins, etc. There will also be a mobile refillery with personal care and household cleaners for sale, so bring your reusable containers if you want to shop. Some additional items that you may find useful are blankets, umbrellas, and raincoats.

Also, we are encouraging folks to bring non-perishable plant based food items for Birchwood Food Desert Fighters.

Will everything at this event be vegan?

Yes, all items sold, sampled, distributed, and/or displayed at Bellingham Veg Fest will be vegan.

What can I expect at Veg Fest?

You can expect to have fun! There will be around 50 small businesses and organizations present to share their passions with you. There will be food, local goods, music, raffles, and more!

Will people try to make me vegan?

No, no one will try to make you vegan. Of course, we’d love for everyone to be vegan, but we know that is not the case. Bellingham Veg Fest exists because we want to support people who are interested in learning more about veganism. There will be opportunities for you to engage with passionate people who will be there to answer your questions about veganism and help direct you to the best avenues for support, but you will have the choice to engage at a level that is comfortable for you.

Will people put me down if I’m not vegan?

Absolutely not! The vast majority of vegans weren’t born vegan, and we understand that everyone has their own journey. Our goal is to offer support and inspiration to meet you wherever you’re at on your vegan journey.

Will there be graphic images of animal abuse on display?

No. There will not be any graphic images in plain sight. For those who are interested in learning more about this subject, there will be an organization present that will pay you to watch a 4-minute video/mini-documentary on a device they provide about animal agriculture. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversations.

Is this a kid-friendly event?

Yes.
